Although passenger services continued on the Ballarat-Geelong Line through to 1993, trains ceased stopping at Meredith during the 1980s. The main platform, the bluestone station building, signal box and a crossing loop remain at this station. The signal box is still occasioanlly used for safeworking purposes.
