Nunawading

Originally called Tunstall, Nunawading was a two platform weatherboard station which existed on the east side of a level crossing on Springvale Road until 2009. During 2009 the former Springvale Road level crossing was eliminated with the railway line regraded beneath Springvale Road and a new station constructed to the west of Springvale Road with access via stairs from both sides of the road. The new station opened in 2010 as a fully staffed premium station consisting of an island platform. An earth batter slope exists on the south side of the station which could be removed at a later date to allow for a third track and platform to be constructed.
