Richmond Station is a majot city station with a total of 10 platforms. The station is elevated above Punt Road with 4 separate entrance including 2 at each end of the platforms. The station contains 3 separate subways including the subway at the UP end which is only used as station entrances during sporting events at the nearby MCG and tennis centre. The station is fully staffed and all passenger services stop at this station. The station serves as the junction for the lines to Gippsland.
