Orbost

Orbost Station was located on the west side of the Snowy River despite the town of Orbost being located on the east side. This allowed the Victorian Railways to save on the cost of the construction of a bridge.

Today the former passenger and goods platforms still remain in a state of disrepair with the site used as part of a depot for Pivot Fertiliser.

A long wooden testle viaduct still exists across the Snowy River floodplain on the Up side of the station
