Portland Line

The line between Ararat and Portland was origionally constructed as a broad guage track but was converted to standard guage with the conversion of the main line to South Australia in 1995.

Passenger services have not run on this line since the early 1980s in the early days of V/Line. The main use of the line is to transport freight to the port of Portland.
