Rutherglen Station retains its platform and station building as well as a silo complex. The station building is currently used by a local community group while the railway preservation group opperate out of a small office at the UP end of the station. One of the few remaining sets of railway gates in Victoria still in operating condition is located at the UP end of Rutherglen Station.
